For three weeks, the famous window front of KaDeWe will be transformed into a stage for contemporary art. The exhibition with 10 international artists allows the shop windows to become works of art in their own right, independent pictorial spaces: as an interface between inside and outside, as a medium in itself. In this way, the exhibition draws on the art-historical tradition of shop window design in New York in the mid-20th century.

On display in the windows are specially developed, partly kinetic installations by Saâdane Afif, Alexandra Bircken, Isabella Ducrot, Benjamin Heisenberg, Christian Jankowski, Wilhelm Klotzek, John Miller, Josefine Reisch, Pamela Rosenkranz and Karin Sander - each window tells its own story.
